The Visionopen ThreadCount 10X is a specialist desktop magnifier for the textile industry, fabric quality control, fashion design, and textile arts, providing 10x magnification specifically configured for the visual analysis of woven, knitted, and printed fabrics — including thread count measurement, weave structure identification, print registration assessment, fiber type determination, and defect detection in fabric rolls. The 60mm achromatic doublet lens delivers 10x magnification with a 20mm working distance — close enough to lay flat fabric beneath the lens without height adjustment. The examination window is framed by a precise 10mm × 10mm graticule engraved at lens level and backlit by the LED ring, allowing direct thread count reading — counting threads crossing the graticule window gives threads per centimeter without calculation. The base is a flat 150mm × 150mm optical glass plate that rests directly on flat fabric surfaces without distorting the weave. A transmitted light option — a diffuse LED panel built into the base plate underside that illuminates fabric from below — allows fiber translucency and weave structure to be observed in transmitted light alongside the reflected LED ring illumination.
