The Visionopen ArchDesk 3X is designed for architects, engineers, technical illustrators, and cartographers who regularly work with detailed technical drawings, maps, survey documents, and blueprints where fine line detail — dimension annotations, hatch patterns, contour intervals, and specification notes — requires magnification for accurate reading and checking. The 150mm × 100mm rectangular optical glass lens provides 3x magnification over a field wide enough to view a significant portion of an A1 technical drawing simultaneously, and the elongated rectangular format aligns naturally with the horizontal orientation of drawing annotations and dimension strings. The lens is mounted on a horizontal pantograph arm — a parallelogram linkage that maintains the lens perfectly horizontal while allowing it to be swept freely across the entire drawing surface within a 700mm × 500mm working envelope without repositioning the base. The base is a 200mm × 120mm clamp that fixes to a drawing board edge or desk. The arm can also be used over a lightbox for tracing and overlay work.
